Sauber is just 15 months away from becoming Audi’s works Formula 1 team. You might think there’s plenty of time to go and that Audi’s illustrious record in other disciplines of motorsport means success is guaranteed. This is an automotive giant that has invested huge sums in its first entry into Formula 1. So what could go wrong? Well, quite a lot actually. Sauber is not doing well right now. In fact, it’s doing terribly and hasn’t scored a point in 2024 - and it’s not just a one-off given it’s managed a paltry 16 points across its last 50 grands prix.
