The Biggest Week in American Birding Day 1

The Biggest Week in American Birding is an annual birding festival held in northwest Ohio, primarily in the Magee Marsh Wildlife Area and along the Lake Erie shoreline. Organized by the Black Swamp Bird Observatory, it typically takes place in early May, coinciding with the peak of spring migration. The event attracts birdwatchers from across the globe to witness the spectacular migration of warblers and other songbirds. It features guided bird walks, workshops, field trips, keynote speakers, and social events, making it a premier gathering for both novice and experienced birders. The festival emphasizes conservation, education, and community engagement, celebrating the rich avian diversity of the region.
