Watch Reena's story about how she struggled for her right to be educated despite traditional beliefs from her mother. There are still so many places in the world where people, especially girls and women, immigrants, and people with disabilities aren't allowed to go to school. Education is so important because it's the one thing that can transcends your social and economic status. It doesn’t matter if you were born poor or rich; getting an education can help you to reach your full potential. Reena knew this and even though her mother disagreed with her she knew that the only way she was going to really be able to help her family and her community was to get an education. It took a long time but once she was able to convince them, she worked so hard to get to a point where she could come back and give everyone, especially the girls in her village the same opportunity she had. But not just that, she also works closely with UNESCO to make even bigger changes with the legal frameworks that UNESCO has spearheaded. This is only ONE story amongst many of those that struggled and are still struggling to be able to go to school, to be able to get the education they have every right to have, to be able to rise above their circumstance and have the opportunity to achieve their dreams. #RightToEducation
