A compilation of Apollo Saturn V launches from NASA engineering and documentation cameras. Most of the engineering footage was recorded in slow motion using high speed 16mm film cameras during Apollo 8, 11, and 12 to document and analyze the missions. The first shot was captured using 70mm film. The clips are shown here in approximate real-time at 60 frames per second. (The source footage does not include timecode information; the clips were synchronized using two reference videos.) Audio commentary was excerpted from Apollo 11 documentaries, retrospectives, and the pre-launch press conference.
