Exploring A War-damaged Rooftop House Design Reimagines The Traditional Value

This penthouse replaces an old rooftop damaged in the war. Upon entering, you're greeted by the lush green patio, a serene buffer between the bustling city and the home’s interior. The patio offers panoramic views of Lebanon’s defining features: the vibrant cityscape, the sea, and the majestic mountains. It acts as the heart of the home, seamlessly connecting the living, dining, and kitchen areas with the family quarters while maintaining an open flow. Trees within the patio enhance this visual connection. The design reimagines the traditional Lebanese home, featuring a high ceiling that accommodates a mezzanine. This mezzanine houses an architectural office, providing expansive views of both sides of the house and framing the patio's scenic vistas.
