Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s The Black and White Minstrel Show, whose demise has been greatly exaggerated. New and slightly improved so as not to look quite so abysmal on a modern TV screen; courtesy of myself, your handsome interlocutor, and the mysterious Mr Goody, who seems to have pulled them out of some unknown orifice. Stay tuned for the rest of the crop, plus the latest Brian Henderson’s Bandstand direct from the Archive, when I get around to it. The earlier episodes are harder to work with, so they will come later - in the meantime, enjoy the glorious color and don’t look too closely at anything out of focus.
