President-elect Donald Trump and his team have confirmed Mike Huckabee will be the next United States ambassador to Israel. He was nominated by the President-elect for the role. Mr Huckabee served as Arkansas' 44th governor from 1996 to 2007 and was a candidate for the Republican Party presidential nomination in both 2008 and 2016.
