When did you realize you married the wrong person? About a year and a half into our marriage, she got an internship with a very well-known company and had to move to the other side of the country for seven months. Six months into the internship, she told me that she met someone else. She continued to string me along for another six months, saying she didn't want to get divorced, but she was just really confused. Since she was so far away from home when it happened, I figured this might be true and that things would get better with time. I also didn't want to interfere with her work, so I planned on waiting until she finished college so we could sit down and talk about this whole situation. Unfortunately, all of my plans fell apart quickly. It turns out she just wanted to keep using me to pay all the bills while she finished her degree.
