The real-life Disney bird, as if a drawing but here in real life. Bearing all the key elements required, a dainty bird, with big cute eyes, a charming crest, and pretty coloration. Tufted, refers to the crest on their head and titmouse comes from the old English words, “tit” and “mase”. Meaning a small bird. Mase became obsolete and replaced with ‘mouse’ a familiar word that described their quick movements, much like a small rodent. The Tufted Titmouse measures 5 and a half to 6 and a half inches and weighs roughly 6-9 ounces. They have large heads, thick necks, and are full-bodied. Their back has a pretty silvery gray color and their belly is white. Some individuals have a vibrant peach or rust color on the flanks. Giving them a snub nose look is a noticeable black patch just above the bill. When it comes to males and females, their plumage is the same so it is hard to distinguish between the two. The only slight difference is their size with males being just a little bit larger. Belonging to the Paridae family the Tufted titmouse is a regular feeder visitor, for people in the Eastern United States. 🟢Timestamps: 00:00 Intro 01:25 Tufted Titmouse Appearance, Identification, Measurements, etc 03:01 Tufted Titmouse Location, Range, Habitat and where to find them 04:24 What does a Tufted Titmouse like to eat 05:07 How to attract a Tufted Titmouse to your feeder 06:02 Tufted Titmouse Calls, Song other sounds 07:44 Tufted Titmouse Breeding 08:38 Tufted Titmouse Nest Boxes 09:12 Tufted Titmouse Nesting, Eggs 10:38 Tufted Titmouse Numbers, Conservation and Status, 11:00 Tufted Titmouse Threats and ways to help 11:25 Tufted Titmouse Lifespan 11:50 My own thoughts and Conclusion 🟢Video and photos provided by the following (A-Z): Andrew Balsiger Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/andrewbalsiger Anthony Birder YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXr8FdKgPSDH8BAtcv0TdwA Backyard Beauty NH YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxmRa_Uf3reOS__1GQVLqxw Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Backyard.Beauty.NH Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/backyard.beauty.nh/?hl=en Birds Walking Down YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCM1MRkNtqulXq0NlVo2FpUQ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BirdsWalkingDown Website: https://birds.walkingdown.com/ Bearypastel Twitter: https://twitter.com/bearypastel?t=qePauePv6aBML550BsSWlw&s=09 Carl Mitchel Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/193634150@N07/with/51661180595/ Chris Rigobello Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thehawkwardnaturalist/ Dodge Rock Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dodge_rock/ Greg Zelt Website: https://www.incrediblestorm.org Kaydid 26 Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/katydid26/ Lens Poet Photography Website: https://www.mywingedsoulmate.blogspot.com Luna’s Window YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_r8DS_k-pGWLj-_vBUM2rQ Margies Backyard Birds and Critters YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcXIUBYH2yE7oOZ3oaOFDF MyDailyNature YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChHoZl__WiCdQeCmb1mZJuw/videos NorthTexasBirbs Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/northtexasbirbs/ Raina Angelier Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BeachBucketBrigade Ryan Grippo YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/rgrippo99/videos TrellsEyePhotography Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TrellsEye/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/trellseyephotography/ Zach Vaughan Photography Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/zachvaughanphotography/ Website: https://www.ZVphoto.com Jackie Rae Harvey Jennifer Chou Paul Bigelow Paul Bogumil Peter Wilson Stefan Hodes 🟢The American Bird Conservancy Glass Collisions https://abcbirds.org/glass-collisions/ Cats Indoors https://abcbirds.org/program/cats-indoors/ Common questions people may have: Why do they call it a Titmouse?
