091124 Acasis TBU405 Pro external ssd enclosure USB 4.0

Little bit different video today. It was too windy to enjoy flying, so in this one I talk about a data storage project I'm working on. This is the Acasis TBU405 Pro external ssd (solid state drive) enclosure. I am planning to install a 2TB NVMe ssd gen 4 drive from Western Digital. Their WD Black SN770 is supposed to be a good match in this enclosure. In a week or two I will order a 2TB version from Amazon for about $119 usd (if it's still available). I use about 2TB of storage space per year with my drone videos even when shooting in mostly 1080p 60FPS. With this external enclosure I will be able to simply and quickly install a fresh ssd when the old one fills up. I expect that the price of storage will fall over time (it always has) so this should be a pretty good solution for my storage needs going forward. Yes, I know that there are cheaper (and arguably better) solutions like purchasing additional hdd units, but I wanted to experiment with Thunderbolt 4 capable hardware just because my new laptop has TB4 capability, even though I don't really need the extra speed as a hobbyist videographer.
