This isn’t a replacement for a future Dragon Ball Super series - rather it’s a series specifically made to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Dragon Ball franchise in 2024. Which is part of the reason Goku is a kid again and he’s using the nyoibo - after all it’s the first chapter that’s 40 years old. There's also incredible lore and world building in this trailer alone, but I’m getting ahead of myself.
