Your 6:30 a.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for January 4, 2025: Impacts from the lake-effect snow will continue into this weekend. Be prepared for rough travel at times. Heavy snow will reduce visibility along with the wind. Areas of blowing snow will be likely through Saturday. Saturday's lake snow will trend more scattered. Area wide, expect 2-4 inches of snowfall through the weekend. Lake effect could produce upwards to 3-6 inches for the metro by Saturday evening. Upwards to 8-10+ inches in the primary by Saturday night. Overall, where those bands of heavier lake snow persist expect heavier snow. Attention then turns toward a major winter storm that will be developing out west and will be arriving in the Ohio Valley by Sunday night and Monday morning. As of now, the main swath of heavy accumulating snow is expected to be mainly south through Monday.
