It all starts with a gum base that's added with flavoring and color, in addition to other ingredients, to create a bread dough consistency. The mixture is squeezed through tubes like toothpaste to become thin, manageable strips. It's then cut into bite-sized strips to become the bubble gum we all love and recognize.
