Click the '.minecraft' folder. Then click the 'saves' folder. Drag and drop the world file you just extracted into this 'saves' folder. (note you want to drag the ENTIRE world folder AKA the the single file that contains all the other files) into the saves file. Open minecraft in 1.21 or higher - Click Singleplayer - Search for the name of the world you wish to play (this will correspond to the name of the folder added to /saves) Click play! (If it tells you you're playing on a newer version, just hit backup and load) Enjoy!
