What Is An Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM)?

Intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) are a country’s nuclear weapon system. ICBMs have a minimum range of 3,100 miles (5,000 km). The missiles are primarily designed for nuclear weapons delivery. The US Air Force approved the designation for the system that modernizes the ICBM.
