A pair of London pest controllers got a shock on November 13 when confronted with an infestation of bed bugs which had broken out in a building consisting of 135 apartments across six floors.
This video, which features Mark Porter of Porter’s Pest Control and Peter Bowers-Davis of Integrum Services, shows thousands of bed bugs and bed bug eggs inside one room.
According to Peter, the pair had tracked the building’s bed bug problem to the room which had been infested for six years. The problem was so bad that the bugs had also taken hold in parts of the walls and plug sockets. In the video, Peter says it was “one of the worst” infestations he had encountered, and that about 20 percent of the building was infested.
“Last night they were sleeping in this bed,” Peter says, before revealing that the entirety of the mattress was covered in bed bugs visibly moving around.
