Cleveland weather forecast for Wednesday, January 8, 2025. It's feeling a lot like the movie "Groundhog Day" around here with more lake snow, cold and a January that hasn't let up yet. That trend continues today as lake snows continue to fall across a good portion of northern Ohio and temps will flatline in the low 20s for the day ahead. We're not expecting a ton of lake snow, but an inch or two is possible where it persists. Untreated roads are once again problematic. We'll clear out tonight, but that means we turn COLD with lows dropping into the 10-15 degree range. Expect sunshine -- yes, sunshine -- on Thursday with cold highs in the low 20s. Attention then turns toward our next storm system -- another winter storm that will move from Texas into the Tennessee Valley with heavy snow and ice for those locations. We'll be on the northern end of this entire thing with a general 2-4 inch snowfall expected to move through ALL of northern Ohio later Friday into Friday night. Snow showers of the lake effect variety will continue Saturday before we get a break Sunday. Our next system arrives on the heels of that one Monday into Tuesday with more snow and lake snow followed by another shot of cold arctic air next Tuesday and Wednesday Here is your Cleveland weather forecast. THURSDAY: Bright sunshine returns. Cold with highs in the low 20s. FRIDAY: Increasing clouds with snow moving back in during the afternoon. Several inches possible by Friday night. Low to mid 20s.
